Creator’s Note & Vision

The Truelight Creator Bundle was created with a clear philosophy:
not to chase trendy, oversaturated looks, but to provide a calmer, more cinematic alternative across both photo and video.

Each preset and LUT is built for quiet realism – grounded contrast, natural tones, and visual restraint that supports authentic storytelling.

By combining the Truelight Photo Presets for Nikon RAW and Truelight Video LUTs for Nikon N-Log, the bundle creates a unified visual style across still and moving images.

Please note: while presets and LUTs are technically aligned, they cannot be 100% identical, since photo and video workflows differ. Instead, they are crafted to echo the same cinematic mood, tonality, and visual fingerprint.

The bundle includes both packs together, offering photographers and filmmakers a consistent Truelight aesthetic across their entire Nikon photo and video workflow.

Compatibility

Photo Presets

  • Lightroom Classic (XMP, version 7.3 or newer)
  • Lightroom Mobile (DNG, iOS & Android, no subscription required)
  • Adobe Camera Raw (XMP, version 10.3 or newer)
  • File types: RAW (recommended), JPEG supported
    – Presets are primarily designed for RAW files to preserve maximum dynamic range and color flexibility
    – JPEGs are supported, but results may vary slightly
  • Camera compatibility: Optimized for Nikon RAW files
    – Developed for modern Nikon Z-series files
    – Also compatible with other major camera brands, though tonal variations may occur due to different camera profiles and color science
    – Minor adjustments to exposure, white balance, or local settings may be useful
  • Profile base: Built on Adobe Neutral by default; for a stronger, punchier result, switch to Adobe Color

Video LUTs

  • Nikon N-Log / BT.2020
  • Formats: .cube (33pt & 65pt)
  • Supported software: DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and other LUT-compatible editors
  • No additional Nikon technical LUT required – the conversion to Rec.709 is already integrated
  • Camera compatibility: Designed specifically for Nikon N-Log footage
    – Use with other gamma profiles or camera brands is not recommended without a proper input transform
  • Workflow note: The LUTs are all-in-one and can be applied directly to properly recorded Nikon N-Log footage
    – In color-managed workflows such as DaVinci Resolve YRGB Color Managed or ACES, make sure the footage is not converted to Rec.709 a second time, as this would result in a double transform
