Whispers of the Alley is presented as a museum-grade giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag (308gsm) – a matte, cotton-based archival paper known for its soft surface, natural whites, and timeless character. The absence of gloss allows light and tonal gradients to unfold gently, giving the image a velvety clarity and subtle depth.

This composition reflects the quiet poetry of the medina: a pale door set within textured plaster, softened by fading paint and framed by the rhythm of narrow streets receding into the distance. It is less about narrative than about atmosphere – the interplay of surface and silence, of architectural form and the passage of time.

Printed on Photo Rag, it carries a painterly, organic quality that enhances the calm presence of the scene. As part of the Dustlight Archive, my vision is to preserve these fleeting encounters with place and memory, translating them into enduring fine art objects. Each print is meant to resonate beyond the surface, offering stillness and depth – a fragment of timeless atmosphere for your space.

By default, it is supplied unframed and without any mounting or hanging system.

For best results, we recommend:

  • Handling: with clean cotton gloves to avoid fingerprints.
  • Framing: for longevity, framing behind UV-protective glass or acrylic is recommended.
  • Hanging: away from direct sunlight or high humidity to preserve depth and tone.

If you select the framed edition (available only in 70 × 100 cm), your artwork will be professionally mounted in a black Nielsen Quadrum solid wood frame, handcrafted in Germany from FSC®-certified timber.

The frame features a minimal 25 mm × 16 mm profile and is fitted with 3 mm clear acrylic glazing for protection and clarity.
