Truelight was created with a clear philosophy: not to chase flashy, oversaturated looks, but to offer a calmer cinematic language for photo and video.

Each LUT is built around quiet realism — natural tones, grounded contrast and visual restraint that supports the footage instead of overpowering it.

The Truelight Sony Video LUTs are designed to match the aesthetic of the Truelight Photo Presets for Sony RAW. LUTs and presets cannot be technically identical, because photo and video workflows differ, but they are crafted to echo the same mood, tonality and visual fingerprint.

The Truelight Photo Presets for Sony RAW are available separately for photographers who want to extend the same look to still images.

  • Use with other log profiles or camera brands is not recommended without a proper input transform
  • In color-managed workflows, make sure the footage is not converted to Rec.709 twice.

Installation

DaVinci Resolve (example):

  1. Open Preferences > System > General.
  2. Under LUT Locations, click Add and select the unzipped folder (Truelight_Video_LUTs).
  3. Save and restart Resolve.
  4. LUTs appear under Color → LUTs → LOG_LUTs.
  5. Choose 33pt (faster previews, mobile) or 65pt (final export quality).

Similar process applies to Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and other LUT-compatible software.
